Job Summary:
The Design Head will lead and oversee all structural/architectural design activities for Madkour projects. The role ensures that all design deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements, supporting efficient and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Civil/Architecture Design Department, ensuring all design works comply with project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Manage and coordinate design activities across multiple EPC projects.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design drawings, models, and technical documents.
- Coordinate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and geotechnical teams to ensure seamless design integration.
- Provide expert technical guidance, value engineering input, and constructability reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and manage external design consultants and ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality deliverables.
- Ensure all designs comply with Egyptian authority regulations and international design standards.
- Support tendering and proposal teams with technical input, scope definition, and design estimates.
- Oversee design quality assurance, document control, and compliance with EPC procedures.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of civil and architectural engineers and designers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in design and engineering within EPC or consultancy environments.
- Proven experience leading civil and architectural design for Energy, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong command of design software, and related tools.
- Deep understanding of EPC project workflows, design integration, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
