Our client, a real estate development company is seeking to appoint Development Managers.
They're currently working on several developments and are looking for development professionals who will be responsible for managing the aspects of the real estate development process, from project inception through design, entitlement, construction, and turnover. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of real estate markets, and the ability to collaborate with architects, consultants, city officials, and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Support design and master planning activities to ensure projects meet market needs, sustainability goals, and long-term value creation.
- Manage all phases of the development process, including site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, construction oversight, and project closeout.
- Partner with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to develop comprehensive project plans, specifications, and design submissions.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors, consultants, and contractors to secure favorable terms and efficient project execution.
- Prepare and deliver project reports, updates, and presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Track project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards, taking corrective action when required.
- Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and expenditure monitoring to optimize overall project profitability.
- Ensure strict adherence to zoning regulations, building codes, and all applicable statutory and legal requirements.
- Participate in the assessment of new development opportunities through feasibility studies, market evaluations, and financial modeling.
- Integrate sustainable design strategies throughout the development process to minimize environmental impact and promote long-term operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing relationships with government entities and local communities to meet regulatory obligations and support positive engagement.
- Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to maintain project momentum.
- Contribute to refining development processes to enhance operational efficiency, resource use, and project outcomes.
- Explore and recommend innovative technologies and digital solutions that enhance planning accuracy, visualization, and stakeholder collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in real estate development, with strong exposure to the UAE market.
