Job Description

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

The Development Manager shall work closely with the product lead, system analyst, and product owner to develop the technical design and solutions.

Manages, plans, analyzes, designs, and constructs information. In addition, team management and technical methodology-based applications to ensure a smooth sail directing a team.

Manage on assuring the integration, operation, optimization, and maintenance of SIMAH core solutions and supporting applications.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Strategic:

  • Contributes to the development of SIMAH's IT Development strategic and leadership.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

  • Follows all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Duties

  • Manage Work directly and aligns with the B2B Product Lead and the System Analysts to design and develop the required technical solutions/applications.
  • Manage Attending with the Product Lead and/or the System Analyst(s) discussions/meetings with the relevant business function if required.
  • Exchange technical ideas and lessons learned with other Lead Developers across all IT divisions, ensuring fruitful sharing of technical experiences.
  • Be an integral part of the lifecycle of software/application development.
  • Manage theAnalyze, code, test, implement, and update existing or new software and web applications to find solutions to the business needs.
  • Manage in participating in the hiring process of new joiners to ensure the balance between selecting skilled and experienced as required by the project.
  • Manage in Providing solutions to technical difficulties and complex issues that might affect various fields and subject areas simultaneously.
  • Manage in Cordinating with other team members and provide the tangible product.
  • Manage in Using process-driven methodologies to approach design solutions.
  • Coach developers/testers with workflow and complex software/application solutions
  • Manage the Work actively with team members and application support team in resolving issues
  • Manage the Plan development tasks accordingly to improve product performance.
  • Review the developed and maintained applications based on Microservices architecture
  • Review the developed RESTfulAPIs/ Web services, as well as, XML Web services.

Information Security/Cyber Security / BCM/Privacy

  • Implementation of and compliance with the cybersecurity/privacy/ Business Continuity requirements as per SIMAH's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that standards, processes and procedures of your department reflect Security/privacy/ Business Continuity requirements (if applicable).
  • Ensure that individuals within your department accept and comply with the Cyber Security/Privacy/ Business Continuity policy, supporting standards and procedures when they are issued and updated.
  • Manage with Risk Department to identify and report cyber security and privacy risks and vulnerabilities, availability and continuity risks in IT systems
  • Immediately report cyber security and privacy incidents to Risk Department (Information Security unit).
  • Manage with Risk Department to effectively and efficiency implement agreed on security, privacy and availability controls
  • Manage with Risk Department to review cyber security, privacy and Continuity controls of third-party service providers for your department
  • Ensure continuity of critical activities and systems that is related to your department.
  • Ensure that all subordinate employees are communicated and aware about the Information and Cyber Security Policies/Privacy Policy/ Business Continuity policy distributed based on Need to Know and/or Need to do basis.

People Management

  • Ensures subordinates have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and individual development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented Saudi national staff.

Continuous Improvement

  • Managing the overall IT Development activities within SIMAH and continuing the progress within the department.
  • Assess periodically the employee relation processes and ensure the complete processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

6-8 years of relevant experience in IT applications development preferably within a financial environment.

Language:

  • English: Advanced

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:

  • Knowledge of IT systems and applications
  • Good knowledge of the SIMAH's operations and requirements
  • Experience in SOA/Microservices, BPMN and DevSecOps.
  • Scrum Master is preferable
