Job Summary
We are looking for a Development Specialist to join our application development team and contribute to the design, development, configuration, testing, integration, and deployment of modern business applications.
The role will focus on developing and configuring solutions using Microsoft technologies, Next.js, React Native, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, REST/GraphQL APIs, Azure services, and Azure DevOps/Git.
The successful candidate will work closely with technical and functional teams to translate approved designs and requirements into high-quality, scalable application components. The role will also be responsible for unit testing, defect resolution, technical documentation, integration support, and release readiness throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Configuration
- Develop, configure, customize, and maintain application components based on approved technical and functional designs.
- Build modern web and business applications using technologies such as Next.js, React, Sitecore, React Native, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and Dataverse.
- Develop and configure Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to support business processes and automation requirements.
- Develop and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and ensure effective communication between applications and external/internal systems.
- Implement application components using established development standards, coding guidelines, and architecture principles.
- Translate functional requirements and technical specifications into reliable and maintainable solutions.
- Participate in application integration activities across multiple systems and platforms.
- Support Azure-based application components and services as required.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform comprehensive unit testing of developed and configured application components.
- Prepare and execute unit test cases based on technical and functional requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during development and testing.
- Support integration testing and defect resolution activities.
- Ensure developed solutions meet agreed functional, technical, performance, security, and quality standards.
- Conduct code reviews and apply development best practices where applicable.
- Ensure fixes and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Defect Resolution & Production Support
- Investigate application defects and identify root causes.
- Resolve technical defects within agreed timelines and support the testing team during defect validation.
- Analyze issues across application, API, integration, and platform layers.
- Support troubleshooting activities across development, test, and production environments as required.
- Provide technical input to incident and problem resolution activities.
- Document identified issues, resolutions, and technical findings.
Integration & Release Readiness
- Support application integration activities across different platforms and systems.
- Coordinate with development, testing, architecture, infrastructure, and functional teams to ensure successful integration.
- Prepare application components for deployment and release.
- Support release readiness activities, including technical validation, deployment preparation, and resolution of outstanding technical issues.
- Ensure required technical documentation, configuration details, and deployment information are completed before release.
- Support post-release validation and issue resolution when required.
Source Control & DevOps
- Use Azure DevOps and Git for source code management, version control, and collaboration.
- Follow established branching, pull request, code review, and version control practices.
- Support CI/CD and deployment activities as required.
- Maintain proper versioning and traceability of application changes.
- Collaborate with the wider development team through Azure DevOps boards, repositories, pipelines, and related tools.
Technical Documentation
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to developed solutions.
- Document application configurations, integrations, APIs, technical changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the application lifecycle.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities and technical repositories.
Collaboration
- Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, solution architects, developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions and provide input on solution implementation.
- Clarify technical requirements and identify potential implementation challenges early.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, standards, and practices.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in application development, software engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Next.js, React, Sitecore, React Native, Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, REST APIs, GraphQL, and Azure.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience in enterprise application development and system integration is preferred.
- Experience working within structured software development and delivery methodologies is preferred.

- Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, or application development.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise or government projects.
