Role Description
The Team Lead will lead our development teams in Cairo and India, playing a pivotal role in advancing
engineering governance, strengthening coding standards, and ensuring smooth, reliable, and
predictable software delivery across the organization. This role blends hands-on development,
technical leadership, and delivery optimization. The successful candidate will actively shape how
software is designed, built, tested, and released, while guiding the team in adopting modern practices,
including AI-assisted development, to accelerate delivery without compromising quality. Candidates
must be willing to travel globally for up to 20% of their time.
Responsibilities
- As a Team Lead you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and motivating software developers across global teams. Your leadership will foster a culture centered on innovation, adaptability, and accountability. By acting as both a senior technical contributor and a trusted advisor, you will guide development teams to achieve high standards in their work.
- You will ensure consistent and high-quality delivery by maintaining strong engineering discipline and enforcing best practices throughout the development process.
- A proactive approach to risk management is essential. You will identify and address potential risks related to scalability, performance, maintainability, and delivery timelines early in the development lifecycle.
Technical Leadership and Development
- Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the .NET ecosystem, utilizing technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, APIs, and backend services. In addition, you will build modern web applications using TypeScript, leveraging frameworks like Angular or React to deliver robust user experiences.
- You will define and implement architectural patterns that support scalability and maintainability, ensuring the long-term success of the software solutions. Regular code reviews and mentoring will help elevate the technical skills of team members and foster continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance and Best Practices
- Establishing and enforcing coding standards and architectural guidelines is a key part of the role. You will promote test-driven development and a quality-first mindset, ensuring that all deliverables comply with security and performance standards.
- Optimizing test coverage, speed, and reliability within CI/CD pipelines is another important responsibility. You will actively work to reduce test flakiness and minimize maintenance overhead, supporting the efficient and predictable delivery of software solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional development teams
- Proven experience in Team Leadership with the ability to manage, mentor, and guide development teams.
- Strong background in Agile practices, DevOps automation, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Deep expertise in .NET, TypeScript, Angular / React
- Proven experience with Playwright or test automation tools
- Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and manufacturing processes is a plus
- Promote AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery responsibly
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and project management capabilities.
