Location: Egypt (New Cairo).
We are looking for skilled Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to build and operate the internal platform capabilities that enable product teams to deliver software in a scalable, secure, and efficient way. With Azure as the primary cloud provider, candidates will focus on implementing reusable automation, Azure-native infrastructure, and self-service toolinghelping to streamline the software delivery lifecycle and maximize developer productivity within the Azure ecosystem.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and operate internal platform products: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native services that will support modern application delivery to developer teams.
- Support the platform products: Support CI/CD pipelines, templates and other components provided to the development teams during their development lifecycle and throughout release operations.
- Implement DevSecOps practices: Integrate security, quality, and compliance controls into pipelines and platform components, ensuring secure-by-default and compliant delivery workflows.
- Automate the software delivery lifecycle: Identify manual or error-prone processes and implement automation to reduce operational overhead and cognitive load for product teams.
- Support platform adoption and reliability: Ensure platform components are observable, well-documented, and easy to consume; support teams during onboarding and usage.
- Contribute to engineering excellence: Share knowledge, follow best practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, or platform roles.
- Expertise in software development lifecycle automation tools and platform: Preferred: Azure DevOps, Expertise in automating SDLC processes with CI/CD templates (Azure Pipelines YAML); others: Gitlab, GitHub
- Infrastructure as Code. Preferred: Terraform; others: Bicep.
- Cloud platforms: required - Azure., with networking experience desirable; Optional : AWS , GCP
- Expertise in containerization and modernization: Docker (image creation and operation/debugging), Optional: Kubernetes (administration, operation, application support). Ideally in the context of Azure native service (Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, Azure AKS) Familiar with it at least
- Expertise in Linux basic administration and command set
- Expertise in scripting (one or more from bash, Python, PowerShell etc.), and/or prior developer experience
- Strong knowledge of software lifecycle management (SDLC) practices including DevSecOps practices (security and quality tools, artifacts management, governance)
- Working knowledge of Git
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence & work with other technical leads, architects, and business teams.
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience working with an Agile delivery framework.
- Experience working as a DevOps Engineer supporting end-to-end delivery in production environments in Azure cloud-native workloads
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Preferred Certificates:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (required)
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
