Role Description The Die Corrector is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm 2nd 6 October, responsible for ensuring aluminum extrusion dies are properly designed, maintained, and optimized for production. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and correcting dies for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and alignment, and coordinating with die design and production teams to resolve technical issues. The role involves reviewing technical drawings, monitoring die performance on the press, analyzing defects, and recommending corrective actions to improve yield, quality, and efficiency. The Die Corrector also documents corrections, maintains die history records, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in die maintenance, tooling, and extrusion processes. Collaboration with press, quality control, die design, and operations teams is essential to meet customer specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of aluminum extrusion dies, tooling, and press operations, including interpretation of mechanical drawings and tolerances.
  • Experience with measuring instruments and basic machining or tooling practices.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose die-related defects and propose practical solutions.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow QHSE and quality standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with design, production, and quality teams.
  • Experience in aluminum extrusion, die correction is a must.
  • Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred.
