Key Responsibilities
Operation & Monitoring
- Operate and monitor Diesel Generators (DG) and Portable AC systems efficiently and safely
- Ensure continuous and reliable power supply by monitoring DG performance, load distribution, and fuel levels
- Perform routine start-up and shut-down procedures as per standard operating guidelines and safety protocols
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of DG sets and portable AC units
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues promptly
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs, overhauls, and spare parts requirements
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, fuel consumption, and equipment performance
HVAC & Electrical Systems Support
- Apply HVAC knowledge to ensure optimal performance of cooling systems
- Monitor temperature and humidity levels and adjust settings as required
- Assist in basic electrical troubleshooting and system checks as needed
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly adhere to all HSE requirements, PPE standards, and site safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with client safety regulations and standards
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all operations and safety inspections
- Report any anomalies, hazards, or breakdowns to the supervisor immediately
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- 2–3 Years of hands-on experience in operating Diesel Generators (DG) and/or Portable AC systems.
- Candidates with HVAC Technician or Electrical Technician backgrounds and DG operation experience are also eligible
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical certification (ITI/Diploma preferred
- DG Operator certification or Electrical/Mechanical trade certificate is preferred but not mandatory
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of DG operation, control panels, fuel systems, and basic electrical systems
- Familiarity with portable AC units and HVAC principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment guidelines
Soft Skills
- Good English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must be able to pass an English written test as part of the selection process
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and overtime as required.
