ABOUT THE JOB
De Art is looking for a Digital Arts Content Strategist to help shape the platform's content direction and strengthen the way visual arts are presented to digital audiences.
This role combines editorial thinking, audience research, visual culture, digital publishing, and content strategy. The successful candidate will identify content opportunities, develop recurring content formats, analyze audience interests, and work with the editorial and creative teams to make De Art's content more relevant, consistent, and engaging.
The ideal candidate understands both visual arts and digital media and can turn cultural ideas into practical content strategies for websites and social platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop content strategies that support De Art's editorial identity and long-term audience development.
• Identify content themes, recurring formats, and editorial opportunities across visual arts and contemporary culture.
• Research audience interests, content trends, and relevant conversations within the digital arts ecosystem.
• Develop content plans for articles, artist features, visual collections, interviews, educational pieces, and social media formats.
• Work with editors, researchers, curators, designers, and social media contributors to coordinate content production.
• Adapt editorial ideas for different digital formats while maintaining consistency in tone, quality, and visual identity.
• Analyze content performance and identify patterns that can improve reach, engagement, and audience retention.
• Recommend new content formats based on audience behavior, cultural developments, and emerging digital practices.
• Help establish editorial calendars and prioritize content according to relevance, quality, timeliness, and available resources.
• Monitor competing and complementary art media platforms to identify useful ideas, gaps, and opportunities without simply replicating their content.
• Develop practical recommendations for improving headlines, captions, visual presentation, publishing frequency, and content distribution.
• Contribute to special campaigns, thematic series, and digital projects developed by De Art.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Art, Art History, Visual Arts, Cultural Studies, Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• Strong interest in visual arts, contemporary culture, and digital media.
• Understanding of digital content strategy and online audience behavior.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills.
• Ability to translate broad cultural and artistic subjects into clear and engaging digital content ideas.
• Familiarity with websites, Instagram, social media publishing, and other digital content platforms.
• Ability to interpret basic content performance metrics and use them to support editorial decisions.
• Strong creative thinking combined with practical project-management skills.
• Previous experience in digital publishing, media, cultural organizations, art platforms, creative agencies, or content strategy is an advantage.
• Knowledge of visual storytelling, SEO, digital marketing, or analytics tools is a plus.
• Additional languages and international cultural experience are welcome.
