Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Digital Engineering Specialist / Digital Lead to champion the use of data and information across major projects in KSA. This role is critical in transforming raw project data into actionable insights while ensuring robust information management governance. You will establish and oversee data analytics frameworks and leverage 4D and 5D BIM to provide predictive intelligence on schedule and cost performance. You will serve as the key link between project-level information and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern project Information Management frameworks aligned with ISO 19650
  • Manage and administer the Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Develop data analytics strategies and interactive dashboards for executive reporting
  • Lead 4D BIM simulations to analyse and optimise construction sequencing
  • Integrate cost data into models to enable 5D forecasting and cost intelligence
  • Automate workflows and improve digital processes using scripting tools
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for leadership
  • Support digital transformation initiatives across projects

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science, or related field

Relevant Experience

  • 5+ years experience in Digital Engineering, BIM, or Information Management within the built environment
  • Proven hands-on expertise in:
  • Information Management: Practical application of ISO 19650 and CDE management
  • Data & Analytics: Dashboard development and visualisation using Power BI or Tableau
  • 4D/5D BIM: Creating 4D simulations and linking cost data for 5D modelling
  • High proficiency in relevant software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Synchro, CostX, and Power BI
  • Strong skills in data manipulation and automation (e.g., Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, SQL)

Professional Accreditations

  • Chartered status (MRICS, MICE, CEng) highly desirable
  • Certification in Information Management (e.g., BRE BIM Level 2) and/or Autodesk Certified Professional strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate advantageous

Professional Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Experience with data transformation tools (Power Query, Alteryx)
  • Familiarity with data lake / data warehouse concepts
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts
  • Experience in process mapping and digital workflow automation
