Role Overview
- Drive revenue growth across the group's online publications through diversified monetization strategies.
- Work across editorial, sales, data, product, and technology to ensure strategies are scalable and data-driven.
- Define and lead monetization strategy across all publications.
- Diversify beyond display ads into branded content, sponsorships, affiliate, commerce, subscriptions, and licensing.
- Identify new revenue opportunities aligned with audience interests and content strengths.
- Develop premium ad products, pricing models, and inventory strategy.
- Lead high-value sponsorships, brand partnerships, and revenue forecasting.
- Lead native and branded content monetization in collaboration with editorial and creative teams.
- Establish workflows, best practices, and governance for commercial content.
- Use audience data to optimise revenue across platforms.
- Monitor CPMs, fill rates, engagement, and conversion, driving continuous A/B testing and improvement.
- Partner with product and tech teams to build monetization-friendly platforms.
- Implement new ad formats, programmatic solutions, and emerging ad technologies.
- Maintain clear separation between editorial integrity and commercial objectives.
- Establish sponsored content guidelines, disclosures, and compliance standards.
- Lead and mentor commercial and revenue-focused teams.
- Stay ahead of ad tech, digital publishing, and media monetization trends.
- Benchmark against competitors and global best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years in digital media, publishing, advertising, or monetization.
- Proven track record growing revenue across multiple digital publications.
- Strong knowledge of ad tech, programmatic, branded content, and audience monetization.
- Data-driven with strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and ability to balance commercial ambition with editorial credibility.
