Digital Solutions Architecture Lead

A global US-headquartered gigantic group is expanding its Digital function and is appointing a Digital Solutions Architecture Lead (Network & Infrastructure) to drive the design of secure, scalable networked solutions across a varied portfolio of customer projects.

This is a high-trust role sitting between Sales, Product/Technology and Programme Delivery turning requirements into architecture that can be costed, implemented and supported. If you're the person who brings clarity to complex environments, produces clean documentation, and keeps stakeholders aligned, this is a strong move.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the design and development of digital network/infrastructure solutions aligned to customer needs and internal standards
• Provide pre-sales architecture support for bids, tenders and pursuits (technical documentation, solution direction, scope clarity)
• Translate requirements into practical deliverables:
• Architecture baselines
• High-level scope statements
• Implementation plans and deployment prerequisites
• Produce high-level network / concept / solution diagrams (Visio / AutoCAD style)
• Define VM requirements based on site and solution needs
• Define hardware requirements (and part references where available) to support costing and planning
• Support programme teams through delivery:
• Network and solution diagrams
• Routing/configuration planning support
• Ticketing support linked to solution delivery (SPOE-style processes)
• Cybersecurity documentation aligned to deployment requirements
• Interface with engineering stakeholders to resolve design/quality issues when required
• Monitor deployed solutions and feed back performance, gaps and improvement ideas
• Help standardise documentation and create reusable templates for future delivery
• Build relationships with selected third-party suppliers and evaluate new technologies/products

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems (or similar)
• Strong experience in solution architecture + network design within enterprise IT environments
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP and real-world network behaviour
• Strong documentation skills able to produce clear, usable architecture packs
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Working knowledge of security best practices, privacy and compliance expectations
• Tools exposure preferred: MS Office, Visio / AutoCAD; SAP is a plus
