Job Purpose Responsible for leading the development, positioning, delivery, and lifecycle management of digital solutions for customers across the utilities, energy, water, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The role bridges business requirements, Operational Technology (OT), and Information Technology (IT) to deliver scalable and innovative digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency, asset performance, reliability, and business outcomes. The position also drives digital transformation initiatives, supports business growth, and ensures successful project execution.Key Accountability Areas

Digital Solutions Strategy & Management

  • Develop and execute the Digital Solutions strategy aligned with DASA's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Define digital solution roadmaps and ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Lead the development of innovative digital offerings that support customers digital transformation journeys.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, cybersecurity requirements, and industry best practices.

Solution Architecture & Design Oversight

  • Lead the design of end-to-end digital and automation solutions integrating OT and IT environments.
  • Review and approve solution architectures, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Guide teams in defining cloud, on-premises, networking, cybersecurity, and system integration architectures.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with operational and business requirements.

Application & Solution Management

  • Oversee the configuration, customization, deployment, and support of digital applications and platforms.
  • Ensure successful development of workflows, dashboards, reports, analytics, and business process automation solutions.
  • Manage solution testing, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Drive lifecycle management of digital solutions from concept through deployment and support.

Enterprise Systems Integration

  • Lead the integration of industrial and enterprise platforms.
  • Ensure seamless interoperability between operational and enterprise environments.

Customer Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lead customer workshops, technical discussions, demonstrations, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) activities.
  • Support sales and business development teams in solution positioning, proposal development, and bid responses.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth targets.

Digital Transformation, Analytics & Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of advanced technologies including:
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    • Machine Learning (ML)
    • Predictive Maintenance
    • Digital Twins
    • Advanced Analytics
    • Industrial IoT
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative digital solutions.
  • Develop strategies that improve operational performance, asset reliability, and customer value.

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Oversee the successful delivery of digital solutions projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Manage project risks and coordinate mitigation activities.
  • Supervise FAT, SAT, commissioning, deployment, training, and customer acceptance activities.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop solution architects, application engineers, and digital specialists.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Build and strengthen digital capabilities across the DASA organization.

HR Proficiency:

  • Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
  • Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
  • Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
  • Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
  • Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.

  • Provide periodic work progress reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development:

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Quality:
