Job Description

Job Description

Responsible for the technical design, capacity planning, infrastructure architecture, and global connectivity strategy for national and international POPs, Data Centers, and exchange platforms. The role requires commercial AI experience and expertise in submarine cable systems, latency optimization, international deployment, and data center location strategy. The candidate will lead end-to-end network management systems leveraging AI, automation, and orchestration frameworks to ensure high network efficiency, service fulfillment/assurance, zero-touch network operations, next-generation digital services, content delivery, data localization, and hyperscaler services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global connectivity strategy for data centers, ensuring seamless integration and connectivity across international locations.
  • Lead the design and optimization of submarine cable systems to improve latency and support robust, scalable, and secure connectivity for AI-driven applications.
  • Apply commercial AI experience to architect and manage end-to-end network management systems, leveraging AI for automation, orchestration, fault prediction, anomaly detection, and performance optimization.
  • Create and maintain an infrastructure roadmap aligned with business growth, traffic forecasts, evolving customer demands, and global expansion objectives.
  • Ensure network and cable system management frameworks are aligned with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices for international deployments.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure system and network performance, reliability, and latency across global data center locations.
  • Establish and implement design standards addressing capacity, scalability, redundancy, and latency models to support robust network infrastructure.
  • Standardize physical and logical designs across multiple sites for development and scalability, including international Points of Presence (POPs), exchanges, and landing stations.
  • Assess and optimize data center location strategy and geographical diversity to ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and optimal connectivity.
  • Architect national and international network connectivity, including landing stations, interconnection hubs, and submarine cable systems, considering capacity requirements and exchange expansion.
  • Formulate strategies for redundancy, diversity, and low-latency connectivity between core international POPs, preparing recovery plans for outages and isolation scenarios.
  • Optimize integration between POPs, Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), submarine landing stations, and cloud interconnect points for seamless global connectivity.
  • Oversee evaluation, selection, and deployment of Network Management System (NMS) platforms, ensuring integration with Northbound and Southbound Interfaces for next-generation networks.
  • Monitor and manage end-to-end automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, and assurance, implementing intent-based networking and closed-loop automation.
  • Define and develop KPIs, telemetry, and observability metrics for proactive health monitoring of network and cable systems using intelligent platforms.
  • Serve as technical authority for network management, automation, and AI initiatives, aiming to achieve Zero Touch Networks (ZTN) and global connectivity excellence.
  • Improve space and power efficiency to optimize OPEX and minimize under-utilized infrastructure across global data centers.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, RFPs, and contract deliverables for accuracy and performance guarantees; manage inventory and contract administration.
  • Ensure all projects are executed with consistency, reliability, diversity, efficiency, and financial compliance, adhering to engineering and customer standards, objectives, priorities, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Perform regular process audits and initiate improvement programs to enhance network and service efficiency, resiliency, and redundancy.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years experience in development of Telecom Networks, ISPs, and platforms, with proven commercial AI experience.
  • Expertise in IP, Transport, Project Management, Traffic Engineering, hyperscaler, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience supervising the design and blueprinting of exchanges, cable systems, Points of Presence (POPs), and data centers globally.
  • Deep knowledge of submarine cable systems, latency optimization, international deployment, and data center location strategy.
  • Experience formulating strategies for redundancy, diversity, and low-latency connectivity between core international POPs.
  • Strong understanding of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), submarine landing stations, and cloud interconnect points for seamless global connectivity.
  • Proven track record in next-generation digital, content delivery, data localization, and hyperscaler services.
