- The Director of Artificial Development will be responsible for the development of the AI strategy and implementation across the oraganization. This role requires a unique blend of expertise in strategy formulation and execution across several themes and pillars.
- The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking, hands-on, action-oriented, and highly collaborative, capable of leading cross-functional teams, managing AI driven opportunities, infrastructure needs, and possessing a solid grasp of enabling the technology and implementing it on a large scale.
Key Responsibillities:
Strategy Formulation and Management
- Develop and lead the company's AI strategy to enable cutting-edge immersive experiences, ensuring alignment with creative, experiential, and business objectives.
- Identify and prioritize AI-driven use cases across content generation, real-time interactivity, spatial computing, and personalization
- Define and oversee the technical roadmap for integrating AI across immersive platforms, installations, and audience engagement layers.
- Support iterative development cycles to allow creative and technical teams to experiment, test, and refine AI-enhanced experiences.
- Coordinate resourcing and scheduling across AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with content timelines, vendor pipelines, and production workflows.
- AI Infrastructure, Tools & Systems Oversight
- Oversee the deployment and scaling of AI infrastructure to support real-time rendering, generative media, NLP, computer vision, and other models.
- Evaluate and integrate AI tools and frameworks that support creative development, simulation environments, and guest-facing applications.
- Ensure data collection, annotation, and feedback loops are in place to refine AI outputs and improve immersive experiences over time.
- Plan, design, and develop key use cases, managing stakeholders and development teams.
Stakeholder & Partnership Engagement
- Serve as the strategic liaison between internal creative, technical, and production teams and external partners including AI vendors, content studios, universities, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with immersive architects, XR engineers, and narrative designers to ensure AI integration enhances the creative intent.
- Align AI initiatives with broader corporate strategy.
- Stay ahead of AI advancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends, continuously assessing new innovations to drive strategic AI adoption
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure AI solutions adhere to any KSA ethical AI guidelines, content appropriateness standards, and applicable data and privacy regulations.
- Work with legal, cybersecurity, and guest experience teams to safeguard user data, prevent bias, and ensure AI-enhanced experiences meet accessibility, safety, and cultural sensitivity standards.
Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree or specialization in AI/ML preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in AI leadership roles, with a focus on deploying AI solutions in creative, immersive, or experience-driven environments.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing AI strategies that intersect with real-time systems, interactive media, generative content, or immersive technologies (e.g., XR, spatial computing).
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams that span R&D, creative, technical, and product domains.
- Strong background in AI infrastructure management, including model lifecycle, data pipelines, edge/cloud deployment, and integration with physical or digital environments.
- Experience collaborating with creative studios, technology vendors, research institutions, and regulatory stakeholders to bring AI-enhanced experiences to market.
- Strong strategic thinking and innovation mindset, with the ability to bridge technical depth and artistic vision.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, influence decision-making, and represent the company in external forums.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in areas such as data privacy, ethical AI, and content safety, especially in international and GCC contexts.
Preferred Experience Includes:
- Prior experience in immersive or interactive environments such as theme parks, immersive exhibitions, large-scale installations, or gaming/XR platforms.
- Hands-on familiarity with real-time engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity) and integration of AI for live systems, audience engagement, or dynamic world-building.
- Understanding of sensory systems (vision, audio, biometric) and their role in enhancing AI responsiveness within physical spaces.
- Experience building or managing AI R&D or prototyping labs, including hardware/software/human interaction workflows.
- Strong network of partners across AI research, creative tech, and experience design ecosystems
