Job Description

Scope

The Asset Director will play a key strategic role within Skyways Technics, as part of the company's senior management team, overseeing the full lifecycle management of high-value assets such as aircraft, engines and landing gears. Reporting directly to the VP Assets, this position is responsible for defining, executing, and continuously optimizing the company's asset strategy to ensure alignment with market demand, commercial objectives, and long-term profitability.

The role combines strategic asset portfolio management, high-level commercial decision-making, and global business development. The Asset Director will actively identify acquisition opportunities, evaluate technical and financial risks, and structure transactions that maximize asset value.

Acting as a senior commercial leader, the Asset Director will maintain direct relationships with key customers, prospects, and partners worldwide, while providing transversal leadership to international sales teams. The role requires continuous engagement with the global aviation aftermarket through trade fairs, industry events, and ongoing networking, ensuring Skyways Technics remains well-positioned to anticipate market trends and seize emerging opportunities.

In addition to commercial and strategic responsibilities, the Asset Management Director will ensure rigorous documentation and compliance standards across all assets, including comprehensive traceability and maintenance history reviews. Regular reporting to senior management will support informed decision-making at executive level, with clear visibility on asset performance, market conditions, risks, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's asset portfolio to ensure alignment with market needs and commercial strategy.
  • Control and optimize total inventory value with a strong focus on profitability and cash flow.
  • Lead the asset acquisition team responsible to identify, evaluate, and acquire second-hand aircraft (ATR, A320, B737) or airframe. Including the negotiation of the most favorable commercial terms with potential sellers (lessors, airlines etc.), from LOI draft review to execution of the SPA.
  • Source and acquire landing gears and engines available on the global market.
  • Oversee documentation reviews, including but not limited to Back-to-Birth traceability and shop visit history.
  • Sell, Lease, Exchange landing gears and engines to existing customers and new prospects.
  • Maintain direct commercial relationships with customers and key accounts.
  • Leverage and expand an existing network within the commercial aviation aftermarket.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships while identifying new partners.
  • Prepare business cases and cash flow scenarios for asset acquisitions and projects.
  • Monitor and report on the profitability and performance of projects and assets.
  • Provide transversal leadership and coordination of global sales teams.
  • Act as a senior commercial leader, driving collaboration and priorities across region and manage the sale & lease of assets directly or indirectly (using the local sales teams).
  • Report regularly to higher management on asset performance, market trends, and opportunities.
  • Represent Skyways Technics at trade fairs, industry events, and conferences.
  • Conduct continuous market intelligence and networking to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in the company's senior management meetings (online and in person).
  • Travel regularly to visit customers and stakeholders (average of 20% travel time expected)
