Job Purpose:
The Director - Business Excellence will lead the design and implementation of Alef's Business Excellence framework, drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and performance excellence across all business units. This role is responsible to establish standardized processes, performance metrics, and quality management systems that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and support Alef's strategic growth objectives in the real estate sector.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic Excellence Framework
- Develop and deploy the enterprise Business Excellence strategy, integrating methodologies like Lean Six Sigma across all Alef business units.
- Establish the governance model for organizational performance, defining KPIs, benchmarks, and reporting standards.
Performance Management & Analytics
- Lead the organizational performance management office to monitor, analyze, and report on all critical business and operational metrics.
- Implement advanced data analytics and dashboarding to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making by the executive team.
Process Optimization & Re-engineering
- Champion the re-engineering and standardization of core business processes to drive significant improvements in efficiency and quality.
- Identify and eliminate operational waste and non-value-added activities through systematic process reviews and improvements.
Digital Transformation & Automation
- Spearhead the identification and implementation of digital tools and robotic process automation to transform manual workflows.
- Lead change management for technology adoption, ensuring solutions enhance productivity and user experience.
Change Leadership & Culture Development
- Act as the primary change agent to embed a continuous improvement and high-performance culture throughout the organization.
- Design and deliver training programs to build Business Excellence capabilities and foster an innovation mindset at all levels.
Stakeholder Engagement & Value Realization
- Partner with C-level executives and department heads to ensure initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver expected ROI.
- Communicate the benefits, progress, and financial impact of all Business Excellence initiatives to the Group CEO and senior leadership.
Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, and Skills Required:
Educational Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt required.
- Additional qualifications in Business Excellence or Quality Management are preferred.
Work Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in business excellence, operational improvement, or performance management roles.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position, preferably within real estate, construction, or related industries in UAE/GCC.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects and delivering measurable operational and financial improvements.
Skills required:
- Expertise in Business Excellence frameworks, Lean Six Sigma, and performance management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-led decisions.
- Excellent leadership and change management capabilities to influence at all organizational levels.
