Center of Excellence – Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs – Vice President of the University

A leading university in Riyadh is seeking a Director of Center of Excellence to lead academic quality, accreditation, institutional excellence, and educational innovation at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance, accreditation (programmatic and institutional), and institutional excellence initiatives (EFQM, Baldrige, ISO 21001 or equivalents)
- Drive academic program development, benchmarking, and faculty evaluation systems
- Develop and implement strategic and operational academic plans, aligned with the university vision, KPIs, and performance indicators
- Analyze institutional data to support evidence-based decision-making, research, and reporting dashboards
- Enhance global rankings and institutional impact through measurable initiatives
- Lead digital transformation, e-learning, and LMS initiatives, including learning analytics and process automation
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, represent the university in academic committees, and foster a culture of excellence
Requirements
- PhD in Educational Planning, Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, Measurement & Learning, or equivalent from a globally recognized institution
- 10+ years of experience in higher education quality, accreditation, program planning, or think tanks, with direct leadership experience
- Proven experience with accreditation bodies (NCAAA, ABET, AACSB, or equivalents)
- Strong skills in strategic planning, change management, institutional excellence, and performance evaluation
- Professional proficiency in English and Arabic
- Demonstrated impact in accreditation, institutional ranking improvement, or measurable academic outcomes
Preferred:
- Experience with globally ranked universities, international academic institutions, or educational excellence organizations
- PMP or equivalent certification
- International collaboration experience, multi-cultural leadership, and executive communication skills
