Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that support Drydocks World's business objectives and growth priorities.
- Planning: Manage an annual communications plan, which identifies all key initiatives, projects and tasks to be progressed in the immediate term; establishes measurable objectives, timelines, budgets and resource allocation for all communications activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide strategic and tactical communications advice to stakeholders and subject matter experts, including facilitating regular meetings for alignment and visibility. As relevant, engage with government stakeholders in the UAE and beyond.
- Content Creation: Drive the creation of high-quality, accurate, and engaging content for various channels, including website, social media, and marketing materials.
- Media Relations: Manage media inquiries, build relationships with journalists, and secure positive media coverage to enhance the company's reputation.
- Event Management: Support participation in internal and external events and ensure cohesive integration with the global plan.
- Brand Management: Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and activities, upholding the company's brand purpose and positioning.
- Digital Communications: Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including social media campaigns and online content.
- Agency Management: Manage external agencies and vendors, ensuring they deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon budgets and timelines.
- Duplicate Performance Measurement: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to communication efforts, demonstrating the impact of communication activities on business objectives.
- Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risk.
Technical Competencies
- Proven success in leading strategic communication programs, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong media relations background and understanding of international and regional media dynamics.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies.
- Understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, experience with search engine marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
Experience
10-15 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, or large enterprise environments.
