Our client, a global financial institution is looking to hire a Crypto Specialist search within their Public markets team.
Crypto Specialist, Public Markets
- This is a newly created role within their Public Markets team, focused on building capability in a new asset class (digital assets/crypto).
- They are seeking a crypto specialist rather than a directional trader, with experience implementing relative-value, arbitrage, or market-neutral strategies.
- Ideal candidates will have experience operating crypto/blockchain strategies within a public markets or institutional investment environment, including the use of regulated custody platforms.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology, protocols, and token mechanics, including experience with self-custody and wallet infrastructure.
- Familiarity with crypto derivatives, futures, tokens, spreads, and liquidity dynamics across exchanges.
- Ability to operate with a measured risk appetite, aligned with their institutional investment framework and governance standards.
- We are particularly interested in understanding which custody platforms, exchanges, and infrastructure providers candidates have worked with.
- Background may include crypto-focused hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or crypto venture funds, especially candidates who have helped build or scale market-making or trading platforms.
- This role will play a key part in shaping their approach to digital assets within Public markets, including strategy design, infrastructure selection, and risk management
