Job Description
The Director, Hilton Worldwide Sales Arabian Peninsula, will provide strategic leadership for Hilton Worldwide Sales across the Arabian Peninsula, driving commercial growth through a portfolio of high-value accounts in the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait. The role is responsible for developing and executing account strategies across key segments including Groups, Business Travel, and Leisure, building strong stakeholder relationships, growing market share, achieving revenue targets, and leading a high-performing sales team to deliver results across Hilton's international portfolio.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Hilton's broader commercial objectives and regional priorities.
- Achieve revenue goals by building business, driving market share, and expanding sales opportunities through the team.
- Support the management of key accounts and ensure alignment with broader Hilton Worldwide Sales strategies.
- Create compelling business cases and recommendations based on market intelligence, stay and pace reports, customer needs, and industry trends.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain close, accessible relationships with hotels, owners, regional stakeholders, and internal partners to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
- Coordinate customer engagement activity including trade shows, roadshows, commercial meetings, and management exchanges.
- Review and enhance processes to elevate customer engagement and ensure Hilton delivers market-leading experiences.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Hire, mentor, motivate, coach, and develop a team of face-to-face sales professionals.
- Foster a high-performance culture through accountability, recognition, regular feedback, and collaborative ways of working.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide ongoing coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Planning, Governance & Compliance
- Develop and implement sales plans that enable the team to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Oversee and control the department's Travel & Event budget, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with company expectations.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton's company policies, standards, Code of Conduct, and procedures.
- Support additional initiatives within the broader sales organisation where appropriate.
Qualifications
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in hospitality sales.
- Experience in the hotel, corporate, MICE/Group and leisure industry.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing large or distributed sales teams.
- Ability to create, develop, and sustain highly motivated and high-performing sales teams.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic plans in a complex commercial environment.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead through collaboration in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to analyse data, create compelling business cases, and present strategic and tactical recommendations to senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience working in the Middle East, with a deep understanding of regional business practices and cultural nuances.
- Ability to think creatively, adapt quickly, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Significant experience in progressive sales leadership within a multi-site, multi-branded, consumer-focused organisation.
- Experience with sizeable revenue-diverse customers and dynamic brands and channels.
- Relevant sales experience across business-to-business, business-to-consumer, or business-to-business-to-consumer environments.
- Exposure to franchisee businesses would be an advantage.
