Summary:
Responsible for managing the operations related to Training and Continuing Education, including overseeing faculty management, supervising academic accreditations and licensing, and ensuring the Organization's compliance with the required academic standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, responsible for assessing students or individuals to evaluate competency levels in accordance with approved performance standards and the requirements of the early childhood sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and effectively manage the teams within the Academic Affairs Department to achieve the department's strategic objectives.
- Ensure the implementation of the Organization's approved policies and procedures across the department.
- Recommend improvements to the policies and procedures governing Academic Affairs.
- Implement corrective actions for any deviations from the Organization's policies, procedures, and regulations in coordination with the direct manager.
- Ensure the achievement of the Academic Affairs Department's strategic objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and manage the department's budget, ensuring all activities and operations are executed within the approved budget.
- Lead and oversee all Academic Affairs operations, ensuring alignment with the Organization's strategic objectives, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Direct the full student lifecycle, from admission and enrollment through graduation, employment support, and alumni engagement.
- Ensure academic staff meet required competency, qualification, and performance standards.
- Oversee academic accreditation, licensing, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality assurance.
- Lead assessment and evaluation services for students and learners.
- Develop and oversee academic curricula, training programs, and short professional development courses aligned with national priorities and workforce needs.
- Ensure the delivery of career guidance, graduate services, certification, and graduation documentation.
- Establish frameworks for obtaining and maintaining academic accreditations and professional licenses that enhance the Organization's reputation.
- Assess the readiness and competency of professionals entering educational, childcare, community, and healthcare sectors.
- Manage continuing education initiatives and approve partnership agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with relevant organizations.
- Provide strategic leadership to Academic Affairs department directors, ensuring achievement of sector objectives and operational excellence.
- Identify and manage operational risks, business continuity, and crisis management within the Academic Affairs sector.
- Review departmental performance, budgets, workforce requirements, and resource utilization to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Chair regular meetings with department directors and represent the Academic Affairs sector in executive leadership meetings.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with accreditation bodies, regulatory authorities, training providers, strategic partners, employers, graduates, families, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, performance management, promotions, rewards, and succession planning.
- Promote the Organization's achievements and success stories through media and stakeholder engagement in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting international best practices, maintaining service quality standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain professional knowledge through benchmarking, networking, and continuous professional development.
- Prepare executive reports on operational performance, financial status, strategic initiatives, and critical issues, providing recommendations to senior leadership.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of the role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Master's degree in Educational Management or a related field is preferred and considered an added advantage.
Professional Experience:
- 9–11 years of professional experience in training, teaching, Early Childhood Development, Social Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Academic Affairs management within an academic or educational institution is preferred, particularly with well-established local or international organizations.
