Our client, a leading architecture consultancy with offices in Dubai and Riyadh, is seeking an experienced Director of Architecture to lead the delivery of multiple high-profile architectural projects from concept through completion. This role combines strategic project leadership with hands-on delivery management, requiring someone who can drive technical excellence while building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Direct delivery of multiple concurrent projects, managing schedules, costs, and quality standards
- Oversee all project phases including procurement, contract administration, tendering, and risk management
- Lead commercial aspects including budget management, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement
- Build and mentor a high-performing project management team
- Develop and maintain client relationships, managing expectations and resolving business issues
- Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes and technical standards
- Collaborate with Business Development on technical and commercial proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred)
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification required; PgMP or MSP preferred
- 15+ years post-graduation experience in architecture project delivery
- Deep technical knowledge across all project phases, especially Construction Administration
- Proven commercial management and multi-project leadership experience
- Strong stakeholder management and client relations track record
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in MS Project (Primavera advantageous)
- Member of PMI, AIA, or UAE Society of Engineers (highly regarded)
