Role:
As the PR and Communications Director at our Web3-focused PR agency, you will lead the strategic communications and public relations efforts to position our clients as leaders in the Web3, blockchain, and disruptive tech space. You will oversee the development of compelling narratives, manage media relationships, and drive thought leadership initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a tech enthusiast with extensive experience in public relations, strategic communication, and an understanding of the rapidly evolving blockchain landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive PR and communications strategies for clients in the Web3 space, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and market positioning.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with crypto, blockchain, and tech journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets to secure consistent and impactful media coverage.
- Thought Leadership: Position clients and the agency as thought leaders through the creation of opinion pieces, speaking opportunities, panel discussions, and media interviews.
- Content Development: Oversee the development of press releases, blog posts, articles, and other PR materials that communicate complex Web3 concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and client presentations at major Web3 and blockchain conferences, such as TOKEN2049, Consensus, and others.
- Crisis Management: Develop crisis communication plans and manage any public relations challenges with discretion, ensuring a swift and appropriate response.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, providing guidance on best practices, media outreach strategies, and effective communication techniques.
- Performance Metrics: Set and track KPIs for PR campaigns, ensuring that client goals are met, and report regularly on campaign performance and results.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring clear communication, timely project execution, and delivery of high-quality results.
- Social Media Strategy: Collaborate with the social media team to align PR efforts with digital marketing and social media strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in PR, communications, or related roles, with a strong focus on Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
- Proven track record of securing media coverage in top-tier publications and managing large-scale PR campaigns.
- Strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and stakeholders in the Web3 and crypto space.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into engaging stories.
- Leadership experience in managing PR teams and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and executive teams.
- Familiarity with Web3 trends, blockchain technology, decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other key aspects of the industry.
- Crisis management experience and ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
