We are working closely with an established multidisciplinary consultancy looking to appoint a Director to lead the Construction Supervision team.
This is a key appointment within the business, taking overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the overall management and supervision of the construction division across a diverse portfolio of major projects in the built environment.
The successful individual will provide strategic and operational leadership across post-contract project delivery, managing multidisciplinary supervision teams and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the division across multiple projects
- Provide senior leadership to Project Directors, PMs, Resident Engineers and multidisciplinary site supervision teams
- Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance throughout the construction lifecycle
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Conditions of Contract
- Provide oversight of contract administration, claims, variations and contractual matters
- Monitor project programmes, progress, procurement, quality and overall delivery performance
- Maintain senior-level relationships with clients, developers, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders
- Identify and resolve major project risks and delivery challenges
- Drive consistency, quality and best practice across the construction supervision function
- Support projects through completion and handover
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline
- Minimum 18 years of construction and project delivery experience
- Middle East/GCC experience
- Strong consultancy-side Construction Supervision and Contract Administration experience
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary supervision teams and multiple concurrent projects
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and construction contracts
- Proven experience dealing directly with developers, owners, contractors and senior stakeholders
- Major building project experience across sectors such as Hospitality, Residential, Mixed-Use, Commercial developments
- Strong leadership, communication and commercial awareness
