Job Summary:

The Director – Finance Operations will provide senior leadership, governance, and strategic direction to the finance operations. This is a client focused role focused on handling a portfolio of clients, ensuring strong financial discipline, timely and accurate reporting, robust controls, business performance alignment, and effective execution through team leaders and functional managers. The Director will partner with senior management and business leadership to align finance priorities with business targets, profitability objectives, and the organization's overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

·      End to end ownership of portfolio of clients allocated and ensuring full compliance to SLA.

·      Provide strategic leadership to delivery teams in month-end closing, consolidation and business intelligence service lines.

·      Ownership of the department / service P&L and ensuring budgets are achieved.

·      Identifying cross selling opportunities and pitching clients to improve pocket share.

·      Set direction, priorities, and performance expectations for the delivery teams, ensuring responsibilities are clearly owned and effectively managed.

·      Oversee service delivery calendar of the allocated clients, ensuring discipline around timelines, review mechanisms, escalation, and quality standards.

·      Build and manage delivery teams.

·      Lead process standardization, automation, and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, reporting quality, and management control.

·      Build and manage a high-performing delivery teams by coaching managers, reviewing team capability, strengthening accountability, and enabling succession planning.

·      Act as a senior escalation point with clients ensuring issues are resolved through the appropriate ownership structure.

Qualifications and Skills:

·      Chartered Accountant or MBA from a premier Business School.

·      10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, controllership, shared services, or finance operations, with significant experience managing teams, managers, or functional leads.

·      Strong management exposure to month-end closing, financial consolidation, management reporting, audit support, controls, and finance governance.

·      Ability to review, challenge, and guide finance outputs rather than personally execute day-to-day accounting or closing activities.

·      Proven ability to partner with senior management and business teams to align business targets, profitability, and decision-making priorities.

·      Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, commercial judgment, communication, governance, and problem-solving skills.
