About the Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished Director of Financial Planning to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for a rapidly scaling organisation in Saudi Arabia.
This is a senior leadership role requiring deep experience within large, complex organisations, ideally with responsibility for overseeing multiple subsidiary or operating businesses. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic insight, rigorous financial discipline, and the ability to operate at an executive level. This position will play a pivotal role in establishing and shaping a major new organisation in KSA, supporting long-term growth and alignment with Vision 2030.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts for a complex organisation.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to translate strategic objectives into robust financial models and executable plans.
- Provide high-quality financial insight to support major investments, new initiatives, and organisational growth.
- Own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency across business units and subsidiaries.
- Establish strong budget governance, controls, and performance monitoring across departments.
- Analyse variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts, delivering clear, actionable recommendations
- Design and maintain executive-level dashboards, KPIs, and management reports for senior leadership and the Board.
- Deliver concise, insight-driven financial analysis highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reviews at group and subsidiary level.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing FP&A team capable of supporting a growing, multi-entity organisation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, analytical excellence, and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years progressive experience in accounting, financial planning, or audit, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in large, complex organisations, ideally with exposure to multi-subsidiary or group structures.
- Demonstrated track record of overseeing financial planning across multiple business units or geographies.
- Big 4 experience (highly desirable), particularly in advisory, audit, or transaction services within large corporates.
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to Boards and senior leadership.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on financial planning and analytical expertise.
