About the Role
A leading large-scale organization is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead the IT Department and ensure the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the organization's technology environment.
The role requires a strong IT leader with proven experience in Retail, FMCG, or Distribution, with solid exposure to SAP systems, IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, digital transformation, and vendor management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full IT function, supporting business operations, maintaining SAP and core systems, improving IT service delivery, and ensuring that technology supports the organization's growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the IT strategy, roadmap, policies, and procedures in alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and manage the IT Department across infrastructure, applications, systems, support, cybersecurity, and business technology services.
- Maintain and improve the organization's SAP system, ensuring system stability, performance, integration, and business continuity.
- Support business operations across retail, FMCG, sales, distribution, supply chain, finance, warehousing, and customer-facing functions.
- Ensure reliable IT operations, including networks, servers, cloud services, hardware, software, communication systems, and end-user support.
- Oversee SAP modules and related business applications, ensuring effective support for finance, procurement, inventory, sales, logistics, and HR processes.
- Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, SAP enhancements, digital transformation initiatives, automation, integration, and reporting solutions.
- Strengthen cybersecurity, data protection, access controls, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop the IT team to build a high-performing and service-oriented technology function.
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational needs and provide practical technology solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a senior IT leader with strong experience managing IT operations in a large organization, preferably within Retail, FMCG, Distribution, Consumer Goods, or Trading.
The candidate should combine technical knowledge, business understanding, leadership capability, and the ability to manage SAP and enterprise systems in a fast-paced operating environment.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 12–18+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior IT leadership role.
- Strong experience in Retail, FMCG, Distribution, Consumer Goods, or large trading organizations.
- Proven experience managing and maintaining SAP ERP systems.
- Strong track record in managing IT teams, vendors, system integrators, SAP consultants, and outsourced service providers.
- Experience in IT budgeting, project management, governance, policies, controls, and audit requirements.
