Job Description

Role Overview:

The Director will lead and oversee the performance audit and quality assurance activities. The role includes evaluating the quality of audit work carried out by external auditors, assessing adherence to professional auditing standards, reviewing audit outcomes and reports, and ensuring the effectiveness of recommendations. The Director provides strategic guidance, supervises audit methodologies, and ensures the continuous improvement of audit quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the performance audit and quality assurance function at the organizational level.
  • Review audit procedures, work papers, and reports prepared by external auditors to ensure compliance with recognized auditing standards.
  • Evaluate the quality and completeness of the external auditors analyses, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Assess the adequacy of evidence supporting audit findings and ensure alignment with performance audit methodologies.
  • Review audit reports and audit outcomes to ensure they are data-driven, objective, and aligned with required quality criteria.
  • Provide advisory support to ensure continuous improvement in audit processes and practices.
  • Develop and enhance audit methodologies and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Coordinate the development and monitoring of KPIs and quality standards for audit execution.
  • Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders on audit-related quality matters.
  • Mentor and guide performance auditors to ensure capability development and consistent delivery of high-quality audit work.

Requirements:

  • 8 to 10 years of practical experience in performance audit, internal audit, or related fields.
  • Preferred certifications: SOCPA, CIA, or CPA.
  • Strong understanding of performance audit methodologies, audit evidence requirements, and quality assurance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate audit reports, procedures, and compliance with professional standards.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, written reporting skills, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in English, and strong command of Excel/Power BI.
