Director of Internal Audit-Hiring UAE National

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
• Lead and oversee operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits across the organization.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
• Review organizational policies, procedures, and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Monitor and follow up on audit observations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and control enhancements.
• Manage investigations related to fraud, misconduct, or control breaches when required.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
• Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other assurance providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA, CISA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
