Director of Operations

One of Dubai's prestigious Five-Star Luxury Hotels is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and elevate all aspects of hotel operations within a high-volume luxury environment.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on operational leader with extensive expertise across both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Operations, coupled with a strong track record of driving guest satisfaction, operational excellence, team performance, and financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all hotel departments, including Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Spa, and Recreation.
• Champion a culture of exceptional luxury service and ensure the consistent delivery of memorable guest experiences.
• Maintain and enhance operational standards in line with Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) requirements.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to execute business strategies and achieve operational objectives.
• Drive performance through effective management of key operational and financial metrics, including guest satisfaction, profitability, productivity, and service quality.
• Develop, coach, and mentor department leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost control, and revenue optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
• Lead operational projects, service enhancement programs, and business transformation initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile

• 10-15 years of progressive luxury hospitality experience, including senior operational leadership roles.
• Proven success managing large-scale, high-volume luxury hotels or resorts.
• Strong operational background in both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Operations is essential.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Forbes Travel Guide Standards and LQA audits.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive employee engagement, service excellence, and operational performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of improving profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Experience with hotel openings, repositioning projects, or operational transformations is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
