An ambitious and rapidly growing manufacturing engineering business in the process systems and energy sector is seeking an experienced Director of Operations & Business Development to lead its next phase of international growth.

The Role
Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will take ownership of both operational performance and commercial growth, leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, proposals, business development, and project execution.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving international business development and market expansion
- Leading technical proposals, commercial bids, costing, and tender strategy
- Managing project execution, delivery performance, quality, and margin protection
- Building strategic partnerships and strengthening global client relationships
- Developing new opportunities across Oil, Gas, Water, Power, and Energy infrastructure markets
- Establishing scalable operational frameworks and supporting long-term organisational growth
- Overseeing sourcing and execution strategies involving international fabrication and supply chain partners
We are seeking a commercially astute leader with a strong technical foundation and proven track record of leading EPC, process engineering, or modular systems businesses.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 18+ years of progressive leadership experience
- Strong process engineering background combined with business development expertise
- Extensive experience in proposals, cost estimation, commercial bidding, and project execution
- Broad knowledge across gas processing, oil treatment, water treatment, power generation, or energy systems
- Experience managing international clients, projects, and multicultural teams
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
Highly Desirable
- Established network across the Middle East, Africa, and International energy markets
- Experience developing new business units, product lines, or geographic markets
- Knowledge of global sourcing strategies, fabrication supply chains, and regional content requirements
