About the Opportunity

A Confidential Family Office is seeking an exceptional Director of Private Residence & Household Operations to lead the management of a prestigious private residence and deliver world-class household operations.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced professional who combines the standards of luxury hospitality, private estates, and family office operations. The successful candidate will build, lead, and continuously improve a high-performing household team while ensuring every aspect of the residence operates with excellence, discretion, and efficiency.

Success in this role requires outstanding leadership, operational expertise, attention to detail, service excellence, and the ability to create an exceptional private living experience for the family and their guests.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

• Lead all day-to-day private residence and household operations.

• Build, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing household team.

• Establish and maintain world-class Standard Operating Procedures, service standards, and operating routines.

• Promote a culture of excellence, professionalism, accountability, discretion, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure all household departments operate smoothly, efficiently, and to luxury service standards.

Household Management

Oversee all household departments, including:

• Housekeeping

• Laundry

• Chefs and kitchen operations

• Drivers

• Maintenance

• Security

• Garden and outdoor services

• External contractors and service providers

Residence & Estate Management

• Ensure the residence is maintained to impeccable luxury standards at all times.

• Oversee maintenance, inventories, purchasing, budgets, and vendor relationships.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance, renovations, upgrades, and special projects.

• Manage one or multiple private residences as required.

• Ensure all household assets, supplies, equipment, and facilities are properly managed and maintained.

Hospitality & Lifestyle

• Deliver five-star hospitality standards for the family and their guests.

• Coordinate VIP visits, private events, formal occasions, and official functions.

• Support family travel logistics and operational planning when required.

• Ensure the highest standards of privacy, etiquette, presentation, and service.

• Anticipate family and guest requirements with professionalism and discretion.

Reporting & Performance

• Prepare operational reports for the Family Office.

• Monitor budgets, operational performance, service quality, and team efficiency.

• Recommend and implement continuous operational improvements.

• Maintain accurate records, schedules, inventories, supplier lists, and household documentation.

Professional Experience

Candidates should have 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience managing:

• Luxury private residences

• Family offices

• Royal households

• Ambassador or embassy residences

• Private estates

• Ultra-luxury hospitality operations

• Luxury hotels, resorts, or serviced residences

Experience with internationally recognised luxury brands such as Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Rosewood, Aman, Fairmont, Kempinski, St. Regis, Dorchester Collection, or similar organisations will be considered a significant advantage.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 10–15 years of relevant leadership experience.

• Strong background in luxury hospitality, private residence management, estate management, household operations, facilities management, or family office operations.

• Proven experience leading household, hospitality, facilities, or operations teams.

• Fluent English is required.

• Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.

• Willingness to relocate to Cairo, Egypt.

• Availability for international travel.
