A prestigious Governmental institution has an exciting opportunity for a high impact Training Director, based in Abu Dhabi.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a visionary professional who can translate strategic priorities into high-impact learning and capability programs. The successful candidate will lead the execution of the Training Center's strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term institutional objectives and emerging national priorities. This will include designing training programs, establishing KPI's., managing and upskilling the team, to delivering a top-tier training experience.
Responsibilities overview
- Strategic leadership mandate focused on designing, institutionalising, and future-proofing the organisation's learning architecture
- Build capability architecture that supports talent development, organisational leadership pipelines, and institutional resilience
- Responsible for driving Center's financial resources, ensuring cost optimisation
- Oversee delivery of high quality training programs, ensuring curricula meet certain standards and accreditation criterias
- Drive culture of Innovation and Excellence through training programs and performance evaluation
- Translate institutional strategy into a coherent capability development roadmap
- Lead the evolution of the Training Center into a high-impact centre of excellence
- Define governance, quality assurance, and performance measurement frameworks
- Shape leadership and specialist development pipelines
- Establish selective strategic partnerships with leading regional and international institutions
- Elevate the strategic relevance and reputation of the Training function internally and externally
Requirements
- 10-15+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Organisational Capability development, Leadership development, or Talent Strategy. This is NOT a HR orientated position.
- Experience leading training academies, institutional capability programs, or potentially executive education programs, ideally within a Government, Semi-Gov't, Think Tank, Consultancy, or a complex instituition is preferred
- Experience building academies or training centers would be advantageous
- Led-transformation driven capability programs and/or designed institutional learning strategies
- Strong experience in leading teams and Training programs with impact
- Experience setting the strategic priorities in training capabilities
- Arabic language proficiency is highly desirable, although not mandatory
- Candidates must be based in the UAE already
