Job Description

Role Summary:

The Shared Services Director is responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing a centralized Shared Services function within a Rent a Car organization. The role ensures operational efficiency, financial control, compliance, and service consistency across all branches and business units.

This position has a strong financial focus, including cash flow management, credit control, and collections, while overseeing key corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, and Administrative Services to support scalable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Shared Services Leadership

  • Establish and manage a centralized Shared Services model supporting multi-branch rent-a-car operations.
  • Define service scope, SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks across all shared functions.
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Finance, Credit & Collections

  • Oversee finance operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strengthen cash flow management, billing accuracy, and collections performance, particularly for corporate leasing and long-term rental contracts.
  • Implement strong financial controls, policies, and compliance standards.

Legal & Compliance

  • Oversee legal governance related to rental and leasing contracts, corporate agreements, claims, and disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage risk mitigation frameworks in coordination with internal and external legal advisors.

Human Resources (HR)

  • Oversee HR operations including manpower planning, policies, employee lifecycle management, and payroll coordination.
  • Align HR strategies with operational and business growth requirements.
  • Support leadership with performance management and organizational development initiatives.

Procurement & Administration

  • Manage procurement, vendor contracts, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee administrative and support services to ensure efficiency and service quality.

Stakeholder & Business Support

  • Act as a key business partner to Sales, Operations, and Executive Management.
  • Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure high service quality while supporting operational scalability.
