Job Description

Role Summary

The Director - Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the regional supply chain & Business Cycle operations in a sector. The role holder will provide strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, demand planning, and operations, to optimize supply chain activities and support the company's overall growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the region aligned with the company's overall business objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supply chain managers, supervisors, and specialists within the region
  • Oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations within the region, including demand planning, warehousing, transportation, and distribution
  • Ensure alignment with corporate supply chain strategies, policies, and standards while accounting for regional requirements and market dynamics
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key external partners, including logistics providers, customs brokers, and international suppliers, to streamline import/export processes
  • Monitor and address any international shipping or transportation challenges to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods across borders.
  • Manage the entire supply chain business cycle, including procurement, production, distribution, and inventory management, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts, demand planning, and customer expectations.
  • Implement strategies to minimize disruptions during fluctuations in the business cycle, balancing supply and demand effectively.
  • Lead demand forecasting for DCs and stores using data-driven models

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain operations, including regional or multi-site management, within the retail industry
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing best practices, inventory management, and distribution operation
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
