Disputes & Litigation Associate 2+ PQE
A leading international law firm is actively seeking an Arabic-speaking Disputes & Litigation Associate to join its expanding Riyadh office. This is a newly requalified role within a strategically important practice, and an exceptional opportunity to be part of a team that is set for significant growth across the region.
The practice sits at the heart of the firm's Middle East strategy, led by a highly respected head of Saudi Arabia and supported by a small but deeply experienced group of disputes lawyers. With only one core team member currently in place, the incoming associate will work side-by-side with two senior partners on a broad portfolio of contentious matters, offering unparalleled exposure and a chance to make a meaningful impact from day one.
The disputes practice covers the full spectrum of contentious work before Saudi courts and local tribunals. The team handles a diverse mix of commercial litigation, regulatory disputes, shareholder conflicts, contract enforcement actions, financial and banking disputes, and complex domestic litigation involving major Saudi corporates and international entities operating in the region. Much of the work is highly technical and fast-moving, often involving overlapping local and multinational considerations, making this a rare opportunity to develop deep regional expertise while working within a major global platform.
Associates play a key role in drafting pleadings, preparing court submissions, liaising with local authorities, managing case strategies, advising clients on litigation risks, and supporting senior lawyers on high-stakes hearings. Because of the nature of the work, the role requires strong advocacy skills, sound judgment and the confidence to navigate local court procedures qualities the firm values highly and invests heavily in developing.
With the disputes team being positioned as a major future growth pillar for the firm in Saudi Arabia, joining now places the successful candidate at the forefront of an evolving practice. Progression opportunities are strong, the platform is expanding, and the team culture prioritises collaboration, mentorship and long-term development.
