Job Description

Position Objective:

The Document Controller supports the PMO by managing and maintaining program documentation in an organized, efficient, and secure manner. The role ensures all documents are accurately controlled, versioned, and accessible to authorized personnel, facilitating effective document flow and compliance with documentation protocols and company standards.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain document control procedures in accordance with program specifications and company standards.
  • Receive, review, register, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a centralized document register/database, tracking revisions, approvals, and distribution.
  • Ensure all documents are properly formatted, labeled, and stored securely, in compliance with documentation protocols.
  • Facilitate the review and approval process for project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Monitor document workflows to meet program deadlines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth document exchange.
  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures and quality standards.
  • Generate reports on document status, discrepancies, and pending actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of document transmittals, reports, and documentation packages.
  • Archive program documents upon completion and ensure proper retrieval systems are in place, per documentation protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3–5 years experience as a Document Controller or similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure programs.
  • Strong understanding of document management systems and software (e.g., Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of project documentation standards and procedures.
  • Arabic and English language proficiency.
