Job Title: Document Controller (Data Analysis Focus)

Job Overview:
A leading engineering and construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller with strong data analysis capabilities to support project documentation and reporting functions. This role goes beyond traditional document control, requiring the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and produce structured reports to support project and management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain all project documentation in line with company and client standards
- Ensure accurate filing, version control, and distribution of documents
- Track document workflows, approvals, and submissions
- Prepare regular reports on document status, progress, and compliance
- Analyze project data and generate meaningful reports and dashboards
- Support project teams with data extraction, formatting, and interpretation
- Maintain document control registers and logs
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC and audit requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve document control and reporting processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller (preferably within construction or MEP projects)
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint)
- Ability to create clear, structured reports and dashboards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large datasets or project reporting
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Background in engineering, construction, or project-based environments
