Job Description

Required background.

Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics or equivalent.

Experience

Supply chain & Logistics background, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

Technical skills

Strong excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Proficiency in ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle) for invoicing and inventory control

Job purpose (overall objectives of the role)

To ensure efficient and cost-effective coordination of domestic and international shipments, compliance with financial standards (IFRS15), and optimization of logistics processes to support seamless supply chain operations and on-time delivery.

Areas of responsibility

  • Invoicing and Compliance with IFRS15
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing in line with IFRS15 requirements, particularly regarding order phasing and revenue recognition.
  • Align shipment planning and invoicing to meet financial reporting standards.

  • Coordination of Shipments

o Manage and coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and full documentation compliance.

o Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to resolve issues and minimize delays.

  • Logistics Cost Control
  • Monitor and control logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Track freight expenses, optimize shipping methods, and ensure alignment with budget forecasts.

  • Inventory and Warehouse Management Support
  • Collaborate with the 3PL teams to ensure proper inventory management, timely dispatch, and receipt of goods.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound movements between warehouse(s).
  • Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stock-outs.

  • Documentation and Compliance

o Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipping and customs documentation (e.g., B/L, COO, packing lists, invoices).

o Prepare and verify delivery notes, invoices, PODs, and internal transfer documents.

o Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies for domestic and international logistics.

o Provide updates on shipment status, resolve queries, and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Performance Reporting and Analysis
  • Track logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per shipment) and prepare performance reports.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and propose solutions to optimize logistics operations.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization
  • Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and accuracy.
  • Identify and implement tools or technologies to automate manual processes and enhance visibility.
