Job role

To perform a technical role in the department design office producing accurate & timely

roofing/cladding related shop/fabrication drawings for client, consultant and manufacture.

To assist in an error free design process within the Building Envelope department.

Role Responsibilities:

OPERATIONAL

• Executes works as per the target design and fabrication schedule as agreed with the Sr. Project Coordinator.
• Interfaces with sub-contractors/manufacturers to ensure compliance with specified quality, work sequence with fabrication schedule.
• Initiates production BOQs based on approved shop drawings.
• Issues material and equipment requisitions as needed, follows-up the deliveries and controls the storage work-in-progress and finished goods. Studies Fabrication drawings and Bill of material of projects.
• Plans daily activities to meet project deadlines and
• Continuous self-learning of roof and cladding products, accessories and ancillary items.
• Responsible for production of accurate roofing/cladding shop drawings using AutoCad in 2D and or 3D formats (REVIT).
• Coordinate directly with project installation teams concerning produced shop drawings and delivered materials to ensure compliant installation.
• Optimizes material usage to reduce/eliminate waste during the material BOQ process.
• Liaises with consultants, sub-contractors, material/logistic department, Engineering.
• Participates in project meetings with projects department to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects.
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise in the daily activities

Educational Qualifications: Engineering Degree (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Structural). Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the roofing & cladding industry (design). Behavioral Skills: Execution excellence, team work, process excellence, attention to details, creativity and innovation, planning and organizing, problem solving, quality. Technical Skills: Design to manufacture directly related to Roofing products (insulated panels, single skin, single ply membranes, standing seam, rainscreen). Communication skills in English (read, write, spoken).
