Job Vacancy: Draftsman cum Fire Systems Designer & Estimator
(Fire Alarm & Central Battery Emergency Lighting Systems)
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Draftsman cum Fire Systems Designer & Estimator to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, and estimation of Fire Alarm Systems and Central Battery Emergency Lighting Systems, ensuring full compliance with international standards and local authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for Fire Alarm Systems and Central Battery Emergency Lighting Systems using AutoCAD.
- Design fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards and Saudi Civil Defense / local authority regulations.
- Perform Lux level calculations and emergency lighting designs using DIALux.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate effectively with project engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
- Review, revise, and update drawings and estimates based on site conditions, consultant feedback, and authority comments.
- Provide technical support during tendering, submittals, and project execution stages.
- Assist in value engineering and system optimization where required.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local Civil Defense regulations.
- Proven experience in Fire Alarm Systems and Central Battery Emergency Lighting Systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and estimation tools/software.
- Solid experience with DIALux for Lux and emergency lighting calculations.
- Prior experience in Saudi Arabia projects.
- Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
