As a Draftsman – Jumpform, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed engineering drawings and documentation for proprietary formwork systems, self-climbing formwork systems, crane-supported climbing formwork systems, and bespoke temporary works and formwork solutions used in high-rise and complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD drafting skills, sound knowledge of formwork systems, and experience preparing formwork shop drawings for high-rise construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings based on approved design concepts for proprietary, self-climbing, crane-supported climbing, and bespoke formwork systems.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA), shop, fabrication, assembly, layout, and other engineering drawings.
- Assist Structural and Design Engineers in developing safe, economical, and buildable formwork solutions.
- Prepare engineering sketches, material schedules, and supporting technical documentation.
- Provide drafting support for structural calculations and engineering deliverables.
- Review structural, architectural, reinforcement, and concrete drawings to ensure accurate detailing.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, fabrication teams, and other stakeholders regarding drawing requirements and revisions.
- Incorporate engineering, consultant, and site comments into revised drawings.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and document control records.
- Monitor drawing issuance in line with project schedules and required deliverables.
- Clarify drawing-related queries raised by site and project teams.
- Ensure drawings reflect safe erection and dismantling methods, access platforms, working platforms, and applicable safety provisions.
- Support continuous improvement of drafting standards, drawing quality, and engineering documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant drafting experience in the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in preparing formwork shop drawings is essential.
- Experience with PERI, Doka, or equivalent formwork systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of conventional and modular formwork systems.
- Good knowledge of structural, reinforcement, architectural, and concrete drawings.
- Basic understanding of structural mechanics and construction methodology.
- High-rise building project experience is preferred.
- Ability to understand construction sequencing and temporary works requirements.
- Strong visualization, detailing, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple drawing packages and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in jumpform and temporary works systems.
