Draftsman
Job Scope
The Draftsman is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans based on given specifications and calculations preparing multiple versions of designs for review.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Create manuals that describe existing products operation, features and maintenance
- Cooperate with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
- Define production methods for equipment and software types to be used
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
- Prepare review and redraft rough sketches along with the engineering team
- Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
- Develop business relationships with all project teams and coordinate on deliverables.
Position Requirements
Education
Technical degree in drafting or any other related field.
Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
