Job Description

  • Develop and execute durability and reliability test plans for systems and vehicle.
  • Responsible for System Technical Specification development for SSD (Strength, Stiffness, Durability) Attributes
  • Perform root cause analysis on failures using structured methodologies
  • Define system and vehicle durability requirements and validation criteria based on customer usage, industry standards, and internal benchmarks.
  • Perform chassis and powertrain system durability tests along with testing partner
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to recommend design improvements and corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documenting test results, insights, and recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and reduce warranty issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and internal engineering guidelines.
  • Develop, Lead and align on Test Standards and Procedures for all Systems and Vehicle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or automotive Engineering
  • 8+ years if experience in Automotive Product Development in the area of Durability
  • Strong understanding of fatigue, material behaviour, and structural analysis
  • Experience in Durability Test planning, target setting for SSD attributes
  • Experience in handling chassis and powertrain system durability tests
  • Strong analytical, statistical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in automotive electric vehicle durability testing.
  • Understanding of Durability CAE reports and data
