Job Description
Develop and execute durability and reliability test plans for systems and vehicle.
Responsible for System Technical Specification development for SSD (Strength, Stiffness, Durability) Attributes
Perform root cause analysis on failures using structured methodologies
Define system and vehicle durability requirements and validation criteria based on customer usage, industry standards, and internal benchmarks.
Perform chassis and powertrain system durability tests along with testing partner
Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to recommend design improvements and corrective actions.
Prepare detailed technical reports, documenting test results, insights, and recommendations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and reduce warranty issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and internal engineering guidelines.
Develop, Lead and align on Test Standards and Procedures for all Systems and Vehicle
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or automotive Engineering
8+ years if experience in Automotive Product Development in the area of Durability
Strong understanding of fatigue, material behaviour, and structural analysis
Experience in Durability Test planning, target setting for SSD attributes
Experience in handling chassis and powertrain system durability tests
Strong analytical, statistical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in automotive electric vehicle durability testing.
