Are you technically skilled, proactive, and dependable in maintaining hotel operations We are looking for a
Duty Engineer who will ensure all engineering systems function efficiently and safely, supporting uninterrupted guest comfort and operational excellence.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
- Attending to day-to-day engineering maintenance issues across guest rooms and public areas.
- Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Monitoring and maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and civil systems.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per schedules.
- Ensuring proper operation of equipment such as chillers, AHUs, boilers, pumps, and generators.
- Coordinating with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintaining logs, checklists, and records of maintenance work carried out.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and hotel SOPs.
- Supervising contractors and service providers during repair or maintenance works when required.
- Supporting energy conservation initiatives and cost-control measures.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience as a Duty Engineer or Engineering Technician, preferably in a hotel or large facility.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Technical qualification or diploma in Engineering or a related trade.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and work independently.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic language will be an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and teamwork.
