Job Description

The E-Commerce Content Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content across our online platforms to enhance the visibility and usability of our food and beverage products. This role requires a passion for digital marketing and an understanding of consumer behavior, particularly in the e-commerce space, to drive conversions and improve the customer shopping experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product Content Creation & Optimization
  • • Manage the full product content lifecycle — writing, uploading, and maintaining accurate and compelling titles, descriptions, and attributes.
  • • Ensure consistency in tone, accuracy, and quality of all product listings across the Spinneys App, Website, and aggregator platforms (Talabat, Instashop, etc.).
  • • Collaborate with category and commercial teams to prioritize new item uploads and updates.
  • • Optimize product content for search visibility (SEO/ASO) and conversion — improving discoverability and engagement.
  • Visual Content & Merchandising
  • • Coordinate with design and photography teams to ensure high-quality, on-brand visuals for all products and campaigns.
  • • Manage the placement and tagging of visuals, banners, and in-app hero tiles to support commercial priorities.
  • • Refresh homepage and category banners based on seasonality, campaigns, and marketing pushes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • • Work closely with the Commercial, Performance Marketing, and Aggregator teams to align content with promotional calendars and campaign briefs.
  • • Ensure product data accuracy across systems (ERP, Magento, Aggregators) in coordination with the tech and data teams.
  • • Support the launch of new categories, promotions, and seasonal campaigns through timely content updates.
  • Quality Assurance & Performance Tracking
  • • Regularly audit product listings to identify missing, duplicated, or inaccurate content.
  • • Monitor content performance metrics (CTR, conversion, bounce rate) and suggest optimizations.
  • • Ensure brand tone and messaging consistency across all e-commerce content touchpoints.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • • Stay updated on content trends, UX best practices, and competitor benchmarks to continuously enhance digital merchandising quality.
  • • Proactively recommend new content formats (e.g., videos, how-to visuals, feature highlights) to elevate the shopping experience.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Previous Experience in Retail is a must
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify market trends
  • Experience in e-commerce platforms and online sales management
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in sales strategies and knowledge of retail operations
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
