Role Overview
The Early Years Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning. This role requires a teacher who is passionate about Early Years subject education and committed to fostering a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
Teaching, Learning & Assessment
- Planning for outstanding teaching and assessment in line with the schools Teaching and Learning, and Assessment policies.
- Ensure scope and sequence, unit and lesson planning is up to date, innovative and in line with IB and school requirements.
Professional duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake duties as part of the staff duty rota and cover for absent colleagues.
- Undertake relevant training and professional development related to the role.
- Support school events and activities, including Spark tank and the ECA programme.
- Ensuring collaboration and support for all stakeholders.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism and high professional standards.
- Actively participate in the professional community.
- Any other reasonable duties and additional hours of work.
Qualification & Experience
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Teaching License, or equivalent).
- A Bachelors Degree in Early Years Education or related subject.
- Experience of teaching PYP in school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and effective pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
