The Opportunity
The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting MetLife's Employee Benefits and insurance solutions to corporate clients. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and delivering value-driven insurance solutions that meet clients workforce protection and wellbeing needs.
The successful candidate will actively manage the sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and brokers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new corporate business opportunities within assigned markets and industries.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, referrals, broker relationships, and direct prospecting.
- Generate new revenue through the acquisition of corporate clients.
- Conduct client meetings to understand employee benefits requirements and business objectives.
- Present MetLife's Employee Benefits solutions and value proposition to prospective clients.
- Prepare quotations, presentations, proposals, and tender submissions.
- Lead negotiations and close business opportunities in line with company objectives.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new accounts.
- Coordinate with Underwriting, Operations, Claims, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Facilitate the resolution of client inquiries and operational issues.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product development and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline updates within CRM systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- 5 years of Sales experience in Insurance, Employee benefits or financial services is preferred.
- Experience dealing with corporate clients.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and acquiring new corporate clients.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
