Overview:

The Eco-Landscaping & External Hygiene Optimization Lead is responsible for driving excellence in external environmental management by ensuring high standards of landscaping, irrigation, hygiene, waste handling, and pest control operations while overseeing contractor compliance with HSE, environmental, and operational service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
  • Ensure full compliance with Lafarge safety standards and promote safety culture and safe practices among the entire workforce.
  • Ensure all BP employees are operating in a safe working environment.
  • Provide monthly reporting and statistics regarding safety performance and incidents.
  • Ensure that all employees and contractors following Health Safety Rules.
  • Conduct VPC and direct other key members in the company to do the same.
  • Identify people with potential to assume broader safety responsibility.
  • Submit the safety figures on monthly basis to the company and discuss areas of improvement.
  • Lead investigations in major safety incidents.
  • Review investigation reports on safety violation incidents and decide on additional actions to be taken.
  • Assume key responsibility for developing H&S improvement plan and relevant action plans.
  • Follow HSIP of the plant and follow the progress.
  • Stopping Unsafe act.
  • Ensure that all employees trained.
  • Attending all safety Meeting
  • Ensure that all employees follow SWI.
  • Achieve Annual Health and safety personal objective.

2-Functional:

  • Manage and audit all sustainable landscaping projects, ensuring the maintenance and aesthetic upkeep of all green areas and facility perimeters. Oversee the deployment and optimization of water-efficient irrigation networks tailored for harsh, dry environments.
  • Direct and monitor the comprehensive deep cleaning, pressure washing, and sanitation of all outdoor common areas, factory yards, internal roadways, and facility perimeters to maintain pristine industrial standards.
  • Enforce rigid protocols for waste segregation at the source (organic, plastic, paper) across all external areas. Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of waste removal and disposal with certified external environmental regulatory bodies.
  • Plan, schedule, and review chemical spraying cycles and preventative baiting programs to eliminate insects, rodents, and pests from all open zones, facility perimeters, and outdoor dining boundaries.
  • Conduct daily field safety audits to ensure all landscaping, cleaning, and pest control labor strictly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including high-visibility vests, chemical-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety footwear.
  • Monitor the contractor's chemical inventory (pesticides, fertilizers, cleaning agents) to verify absolute environmental compliance and safety standards. Review Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to prevent any hazards to local groundwater or personnel.
  • Administer daily shift checks to ensure the contractor's labor structure complies with the maximum 2% monthly absence cap. Enforce absolute discipline for shift handover timings at the exact 08:15 AM / 08:15 PM marks.
  • Monitor external site areas to detect, report, and penalize workplace infractions, including smoking outside designated booths, sleeping during shifts, property damage, or wandering outside assigned work zones.
  • Administer the monthly 100- point Balanced Scorecard system for environmental services, tracking and docking points for labor shortages, behavioral violations, safety breaches, or recurring hygiene defects.
  • Direct the execution of immediate, categorical financial deductions from the monthly invoice for critical infractions, such as pest infestations within living or dining perimeters, uncollected waste, unsafe chemical usage, or contractor delays in paying labor wages

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a highly related environmental management discipline.

  • Professional Experience: 4–6 years of solid experience specializing in large-scale commercial landscaping, industrial external hygiene, or environmental facility services.

  • Pest Control Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of industrial pest control protocols, chemical application safety, and integrated pest management (IPM) systems.

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity managing large contractor workforces, field laborers, and ground crews.

  • Industrial & Environmental Exposure: Proven track record working within a heavy industrial complex, large-scale manufacturing plant, or remote corporate facility.

  • Contractual & SLA Knowledge: Strong understanding of managing third-party facility contractors under output-based Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance scorecard structures.

  • HSE Mastery: Thorough knowledge of industrial cleaning codes, waste segregation regulations, safe chemical handling (MSDS), and OSHA/NEBOSH safety standards.

  • Language & Licensing: Excellent command of professional English (written and verbal) and possession of a valid driver's license.
